Rock and pop stars may have the talent to perform and look good on stage but not all have the music writing abilities for creating the songs that can become hits. While some can write, they may not make it to the tills. Thank heavens for song writers who have the heart and the music writing ability to strike a chord with the audience who end up humming their tunes after listening to a performance by the artist that carried their compositions. Not everyone can be a Burt Bacharach or a Henri Mancini, but chances are if you’re that good, you can be another successful and highly awarded song writer. A resume for this job requires a portfolio of all your compositions that have become hits.
