Photogrammetric technologists are basically cartographers or map makers who create and revise maps, sea floors, air routes and marine navigation routes using aerial or satellite photographs. They are trained to use photogrammetry or the science of measurement with light as a mapping method to produce photographic induced maps. The result is a two-dimensional map from a three-dimensional data.
Photogrammetry mapping is mainly used in areas that are inhospitable to map or can’t be mapped with any other method.
