A Literacy Coach serves as a student’s aide in developing reading comprehension skills in the classroom. They serve as advisers and supporters of students and guide them to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the importance of reading and other related academic subjects for the improvement of their daily lives. Literacy Coaches may be a part of the teaching staff and at the same time be a consultant to literature issues of the school.
