Historical linguists are scientists who are experts in cultural roots of languages. They often specialize in common roots of languages such as the Latin languages that have branched into Spanish, Portuguese and Italian languages. Some specialize in dead languages such as Hebrew and Aramaic and continue to preserve them in their writings as well as in their spoken form. They are often consulted by museum archivists in deciphering old manuscripts, translators as well as consultants in films when using old languages for better authenticity
