Among the professionals who finish floors, the carpet installers are the most pervasive. That’s no surprise as almost all offices and homes are carpeted with a few exceptions like kitchens, cellars, bathrooms, attics, basements and storage areas. There’s a procedure in installing carpets and often involve chemical treatment and labor intensive smoothing of the floor before a layered installation of wall-to-wall carpeting starts. Some DIY homeowners can do this but why bother when there are professionals who can do it properly and at a faster rate?
