Airport Customs Officers are responsible for implementing the nation’s customs laws and regulations in airports served by international passenger and cargo flights landing in ports of entry airports.  Passenger baggage content are randomly inspected to ensure the do not carry banned commodities and passengers are assessed customs duties if community is in excess of allowances.  Freight shipments are also inspected to ensure they pay the right import duties.
